I just put my prototype of my world track visualization online.
A text file contains Latitudes and Longitudes of various locations. I use Processing to transcribe the coordinates and postion them on a map. My math only sufficed for a positioning on a Equirectangular projection.
On the first load a pointer slides to the last position. If you click anywhere on the map a pointer positions where you clicked and if any locations are near by they are shown in a text box.
I plan on using a dynamic file (like from an georss-feed) to continually track my whereabouts on this map.
