So heißt eine Show eines Edelzirkuses der zurzeit in Nürnberg gastiert. Warum Edel? Naja, der Eingangsbereich ist so etwas auf Schick gemacht, also mit Teppichen ausgelegt, Vorzelt und Hauptzelt. Es gibt Cocktails udn ein Restaurant im Eingangbereich und es gibt keine Tiere, damit enfällt auch jede Mänge Geruch. Warum Zirkus? Trotz der durchgestylten Künstler (im Afrikalook ligischerweise) waren es aber schon Zirkusnummern die gebracht wurden, Jonglieren und Schlangenfrauen und menschliche Pyramiden. Untermalt war alles mit afrikanischer (also nehm ich mal an) Musik, die mich jetzt nicht so vom (Plastik)hocker gerissen hat.

Ich merkt vielleicht schon an meinen Kommentaren, dass ich nicht so irre begeistert war. Es war mehr Zirkus als “Edel” und hätte aber trotzdem “Edel” gekostet, wenn es da nicht nen Deal mit meiner Firma und dem Zirkus gegeben hätte. Fazit: Afrika! Afrika! wird zwar öfter mit Cirque du Soleil verglichen hält dem aber nicht stand. Es fehlt dieses Aw-inspiring Flair das der Cirque du Soleil durch die Musik und durch die Geschichten erzeugt. Als ich aus Afrika! Afrika! raus bin, war die Musik schon nach 20 min aus meinem Kopf verschwunden und die Bilder nach 2 Stunden.

Even though my new theme is somewhat purist in style and furthermore it is a default WordPress theme with very few adjustments I’ve come to like the look of my blog again. I’ve also took the liberty of cleaning up the sidebars.
At my work I’m dealing with vast amounts of information aggregating them into a more concise form. For that purpose I use various tools. Mainly statistic approaches categorisation patterns even weighted word lists. So maybe what bothered me about the old layout was just that. Linklists, Tagcloud, searchbars all that was employed to convey as much information (trying to make you more courious) as possible.
Now that I removed all that I realised I suddenly focussed on the post again which is exactly the purpose of a blog letting the reader concentrate on the latest article.

Just upgraded my my blog to the newest WordPress-release. Was quite needed sind my last release was about a year old. Upgrading wasn’t that much fun. Had to do some trouble shooting by hand. Also I’m growing tired of my theme. So I tried a couple but all of them require customizing. Since I’m not “in” into css-formating as I used to be (a year ago) I dropped the subject. Mybe I’ll trie again some other time.
